A taxi from the station to the hospital took 12 mins, finding the correct entrance took 5 mins, locating the appropriate part of the appropriate section took 4 mins and it was a further 6 mins before the lad arrived to check me in. No waiting I went straight through and was out again in 2 minutes, yes that’s right I left the flat at 6am and the scanner at 08:42!
Ten minutes was not going to get me a taxi and its arrival at the hospital and so I strolled back, 3.2 miles at an average 4.3 MPH* was quite pleasant. Not out of breath and no worrying** quickening of pulse so take that BP monitor!
Did I limp? Yes a little, but not so much because I’m not giving in to the gripes of a knee. Did it hurt? Yes a bit but it WILL learn. All in all a good show all round.
