The thing with being an invalid, well one of the things, is that where you used to see life you now see a series of tests. Don’t misunderstand the sentiment I meet each test with the cheery smile of a man that is meeting the tests with his head attached!
So today I washed my hair in the new magic 2 handed technique, of course only righty is actually any use as the tendons are too shrunk for lefty to meet my head with any real sense of direction. Both hands have to be bagged to protect the various dressings which means I have only the faintest clue what is happening. Mission achieved I stopped to redress my leg, always a giggle, then a good pause to get over the pain.
I’m struggling to cope with the nails that are becoming talons on the left hand, this comes of too long not being able to chew them!
Thanks to my engineering brethren for the card, I may well be calling on you for assistance with the replacement parts, or maybe not . . . .
Pain levels have been higher last couple of days but thankfully offset by a large increase in ‘man up’ and ‘stubborn’. Next appointment is Friday for plastic surgeon but I’m determined to make north park and see the team first after all they may not recognise me after plastics!
